Privacy

Short version: Keel reads your email and calendar only to understand your business and do the work you approve. Nothing gets sent without your OK. We don't sell your data, use it for advertising, or let anyone train AI models on it.

Who is responsible

Visiting this site

The site is hosted by Vercel Inc. (USA). Like any web host, Vercel processes your IP address and basic request data to deliver the page and protect it from abuse. Fonts are served from our own host. This site sets no cookies and runs no analytics. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, our interest in a secure, working site.

Your phone number

When you leave your number, we use it to text you, to recognise you when you write to Keel, and to send you the messages Keel needs to do its work. Messages are delivered through a messaging service provider acting on our behalf. You can stop at any time by telling Keel to stop or by emailing us. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR, providing the service you asked for.

Connecting your Google account

If you connect Google, Keel asks for permission to read your email, see your calendar and create email drafts. It uses this to understand your business (who your clients are, what you're working on, what's due) and to carry out the jobs you accept. Keel creates drafts; it only sends a message when you tell it to. You can disconnect Google at any time in your Google account settings or by asking Keel.

Keel's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We do not use Google user data for advertising, we do not sell it, and we do not use it to train AI models.

How Keel thinks

To understand your messages and plan its work, Keel sends the relevant parts of your data to AI model providers that process it on our behalf under data processing agreements, with no use of your data for training their models. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR.

How long we keep it

We keep what Keel has learned about your business for as long as you use Keel. When you ask us to delete your account, we delete your data and disconnect your accounts within 30 days, except records we must keep by law.

Emailing us

If you write to us, we keep your email and message to answer you and delete them when you ask. Our email is hosted by Google Workspace (Google Ireland Ltd.). Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR.

Transfers outside the EU

Some of our providers are based in the USA. Transfers rely on the EU–US Data Privacy Framework where the provider is certified, and on the EU Standard Contractual Clauses otherwise.

Your rights

You can ask for access to your data, and have it corrected, deleted, restricted or exported. You can object to processing and withdraw consent at any time. Email us at the address above. You can also complain to a supervisory authority, for example the Berliner Beauftragte für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit.
